Guided Stand Up Paddleboarding

We are SUPER excited to be offering this new and improved activitity and location.

Experience and explore the breathtaking North Devon coastline on a Stand Up Paddleboard AKA SUP.

You’ll discover this beautiful coastline that takes you through gullies and on to secluded coves. We think this part of the North Devon coast is as magical as you will find anywhere in the country - lots of our customers can't even believe they are still in the UK, and there is no better way of exploring it than on a calm day on a Stand Up Paddleboard. It truly is a hidden gem!

So take advantage of our unique Guided Stand Up Paddleboard sessions.  We'll teach you how to paddle and manover your board or if you've done it before then we can help enhance and hone your technique.  After around 45mins with an instructor teaching/developing your technique, you'll have time to explore the nearby secluded beaches and caves at your leisure.

We love Stand Up Paddleboarding so much, when we're not teaching, we're out exploring on them ourselves.  As well as being a British SUP Association recognised school we're all SLSGB lifeguard qualified and know our bit of coastline inside out.

Minimum age: 14 years old

Please note that the Stand Up Paddleboards are for INDIVIDUAL USE ONLY

        - If you wish to share a board/your child is below the minimum age, check out our Double SUPs or our Paddleboard skills sessions

All participants must be able to swim and be confident in the sea

We also offer paddleboard hire, check out our SUP hire page for more info and to book that.

How much does it cost?

A two hour Guided SUP session costs £45pp, including buoyancy aid and 45 minute guided tour of the area. You'll then have some time to explore the local secluded beaches and caves.

We also hire wetsuits for an additional £5pp (this can be paid for on the day). Please arrive 15min earlier if you require this option.

What do you need?

We’ll provide the SUP and all the kit. All you need to bring is:

Swim wear

A towel to dry off after

Change for the car park

A smile (we guarantee you’ll have one by the end, even if you don’t have one to start with!)

If you require a wetsuit, we hire them for £5pp (to be paid on the day)

Due to the nature of the environment this activity takes place in, you need to be able to swim and be water confident

Where are we?

EX34 8LR

Alternatively use the What3Wordsnotices.drizzly.boating

If following the postcode, continue down the road after the 'destination' to the sea front where you'll find a free public carpark. If this car park is full there are more spaces in the village hall car park which is a 4min walk away.  The village hall car park requires a donation for parking and is situated next to a lovely cafe, where you can get you after activity drinks and food from.

Our most popular Stand Up Paddleboard location is at Lee Bay, situated between Woolacombe and Ilfrcombe.  It's our favourite spot due to the little hidden coves you can explore. It's off the beaten track from the more popular beaches. Your adventure starts when you turn off the main road, so be prepared for driving down some proper Devon lanes!

We're only a short 15-25 minute drive from popular holiday destinations like Croyde and Woolacombe

We used to run activities in Croyde, around the Baggy Point headland. It can be an amazing location for extreme sports, but is very tide and swell-dependent and due to the fact that we had to share the route with lots of other companies, we now use the picturesque route around Hele Bay, which is only a 25 minute drive from Croyde.
