The best Paddle Boarding introduction to North Devon

What is SUP?” such a commonly asked question we hear. To answer your question “SUP” literally means stand up paddle board/boarding.

It is a very fast growing sport combining balance, fitness and precision... who are we kidding- you don’t need to be a pro, we are here to give you all the tips you need to get standing up and paddling along our beautiful North Devon coastline.

Situated between Ilfracombe (15 minutes from Woolacombe, 20 minutes from Croyde) and Combe Martin we have a long stretch of coastline with plenty of jaw dropping scenery to take in, as well as keeping an eye out for some of our excellent marine life- such as dolphins, seals, jellyfish and so much more!

One of our qualified instructors will give you a brief introduction on the beach before heading out on the water- they will have you standing in no time!

Watermouth Cove is ideal for Paddleboarding as it is protected from a majority of the nasty windy weather and has many hidden caves and gullies to explore, broadsands beach is a picturesque spot to stop for a little break, walk about or just to soak up some sun and swim around.

Not only is paddleboarding a great way to see the local area from a different perspective but it is also a great form of exercise. Paddle fitness is a great way to keep in shape while having fun mastering the art of balance, once you have mastered this then there are all kinds of yoga positions to try such as headstands if you have the courage to try it- be aware, you might get a little bit wet!

If you want a relaxing paddle experience or to step it up a notch and  try some yoga jump on to our paddleboarding section on our website and get all booked in for this sunny summer season.

WARNING: Paddle boarding is extremely addictive no matter a solo mission or a trip with friends you will be hooked by the end!
