Scouts & Adventure Groups
A taste of real adventure
If you’re looking to have a great time and get the most out of your troop with some great activities, then you’ve come to the right place.
We always like to give a little extra to the Scout troops that come to us. Whether that’s taking a coastal life identification chart out with your coasteering session, or teaching how to light fires with a flint and steel after some coastal rafting, or throwing in challenges to the Assault Course.
We have over 14 years of experience and knowledge in delivering adventurous activities. Our guides are highly responsible and have a great rapport with the groups that come on activities with us, so you can feel reassured that your troop is in safe, competent hands.
What we offer
We can offer discounts for some sessions, so get in touch.
Wild Camping
We have 10 acres of beautiful private woodland, ideal for troops wanting to camp with a little more adventure.
This gorgeous spot is a great place for campfires, navigation games, bivouac-building, not to mention classic games like Capture the Flag and Spotlight.
Facilities are the good old basics:
- Covered group meeting area
- Camp kitchen
- Compost loos
- Parking area
The woods are situated just off the Exmoor National Park, a short 1hr drive from the water sports activity venue.
Troops usually like to spend a full day down at our water sports activity venue, or enjoying a number of activities then heading to one of the nearby beaches. If your troop’s a large one then you may prefer that some stay back at camp while the others come and do water sports activities then vice versa on following days.
We are always happy to help with putting a programme together and advising on logistics. So get in touch and book your troop on their best adventure camp ever!
Catering
Need catering? We can prepare and cook food off-site then bring it into camp for the meal times.
Standard day’s menu
Breakfast – cereal, porridge or fry-up cooked by troop on open fires
Lunch – packed lunch
Evening meal – hot and warming food like chilli con carne and spaghetti bolognaise
Where we are
Watermouth Cove is our HQ for Coasteering, Inflatable Rides, and Coastal Rafting sessions. The setting of this location is truly stunning, a private coastline whose caves, rugged rocks and shores influenced Enid Blyton to write her Famous Five stories.
