Mega SUP Hire
Perfect activity for friends and family!
Hiring one of our Mega SUPs is a brilliant way to spend a morning or afternoon with friends or family!
You can fit up to 8 people on one of these Stand Up Paddleboards! You don't need any previous experience to hire out one of these boards but you do need to be water confident and have paddle strength. Our friendly staff will give you all the knowledge and skills you will need to get out on the water. Once you have the hang of it, we will leave you to explore the designated surrounding area with your friends and family.
We are based on a stunning piece of the coastline in North Devon, with surrounding caves and gullies, it is definitely one of the top places to paddleboard in the UK.
Hiring a Mega SUP has all the fun of hiring out our individual boards but with the added extra of having to counterbalance the others on the board! In our experience, the more people you have on the board, the more time you spend in the water (but also the more fun you have)!
What do you need?
We'll provide all the paddleboaridng equipment, so all you need to bring is:
- A towel to dry off afterwards
- Change for the carpark
- Trainers (optional - the ground is quite rough, so these are a good idea, especially for kids)
- Wetsuit (optional - these can be hired from us for an additional £5pp)
Due to the nature of the environment this activity takes place in, you need to be able to swim and water confident
How much does it cost?
To hire one of our Mega SUPs, it is £150 for a 2 hour session, including how to use the board
Optional wetsuit hire is an additional £5pp (to be paid on the day). If you would like to hire wetsuits, please arrive 15 minutes before your session time.
The board can fit up to 8 people on and requires 4 strong paddlers (aged 16+)
The minimum age for this board is 7 years old
Where are we?
Our most popular Stand Up Paddleboard location is at Lee Bay, Ilfrcombe. It has hidden coves to explore and in easy reach of the car park. EX34 8LR
If following the postcode, continue down the road after the 'destination' to the sea front where you'll find a free public carpark. If this car park is full there are more spaces in the village hall car park which is a 4min walk away. The village hall car park requires a donation for parking and is situated next to the lovely cafe, where you can get you after activity drinks and food from.
Alternatively use the What3Words: notices.drizzly.boating Be prepared for driving down some propper Devon lanes! We're only a short 15-25 minute drive from popular holiday destinations like Croyde and Woolacombe
We used to run activities in Croyde, around the Baggy Point headland. It can be an amazing location for extreme sports, but is very tide and swell-dependent and due to the fact that we had to share the route with lots of other companies, we now use the picturesque route around Lee Bay, which is only a 25 minute drive from Croyde. and 15min from Woolacombe
