Stand Up Paddleboard Hire
Grab a SUP and head out onto the sea around North Devon.
We have two locations in which we hire our Stand Up Paddleboards from.
You'll pick up your board, paddle and buoyancy aid from our HQ at the watersports meeting point or Lee Bay.
Our team will let you know the places you will want to paddle and places you really don't want to paddle. There is no better way of exploring it than on a calm day on a Stand Up Paddleboard.
If you've not done paddleboarding before or want a bit more help and guidance then check out our Paddleboard Skills. On these sessions we'll teach you how to paddle and manoeuvre your board; self-rescue and rescue others; or, if you've done it before, then we can help enhance and hone your technique. These sessions are designed to teach people how to paddleboard in a fun and exciting way, while also equipping them with the skills to paddle safely.
We love Stand Up Paddleboarding so much, when we're not teaching, we're out exploring on them ourselves. As well as being a British SUP Association recognised school we're all SLSGB lifeguard qualified and know our bit of coastline inside out.

All participants must be able to swim and be confident in the sea
How much does it cost?
A two hour SUP hire costs £30pp, including buoyancy aid and advice on the area.
We also hire wetsuits for an additional £5pp (this can be paid for with cash on the day). Please arrive 15min earlier if you require this option.
What do you need?
We’ll provide the SUP and all the kit. All you need to bring is:
Swimwear
A towel to dry off after
Change for the car park
A smile (we guarantee you’ll have one by the end, even if you don’t have one to start with!)
If you require a wetsuit, we hire them for £5pp (to be paid on the day)
Due to the nature of the environment this activity takes place in, you need to be able to swim and be water confident

There are plenty of carparks around the watersports centre, we suggest either parking in the harbour or at Larkstone Lane carpark.

If following the postcode, continue down the road after the 'destination' to the sea front where you'll find a free public carpark. If this car park is full there are more spaces in the village hall car park which is a 4min walk away. The village hall car park requires a donation for parking and is situated next to the lovely cafe, where you can get you after activity drinks and food from.

Be prepared for driving down some propper Devon lanes!
Larkstone provides a bit more shelter and is often a calmer location where as Lee offers a bit more of a rugged adventure.
We're only a short 15-25 minute drive from popular holiday destinations like Croyde and Woolacombe. We used to run activities in Croyde, around the Baggy Point headland. It can be an amazing location for extreme sports, but is very tidal and swell-dependent and due to the fact that we had to share the route with lots of other companies, we now use the picturesque route around Hele Bay, which is only a 25 minute drive from Croyde.
