SUP Hire Lee Bay
Stand Up Paddleboarding at Lee Bay
Grab a SUP and head out onto the sea at Lee Bay.
Devon beaches don't come much more hidden and rugged than Lee Bay. The bay is an adventure playground with lots of gullies and secluded coves. We think this part of the North Devon coast is as magical as you will find anywhere in the country.
You'll pick up your board, paddle and buoyancy aid from our shack in the car park. Our team will let you know the places you will want to paddle and places you really don't want to paddle. There is no better way of exploring it than on a calm day on a Stand Up Paddleboard. It truly is a hidden gem!
If you've not done paddleboarding before or want a bit more help and guidance then check out our Guided Stand Up Paddleboard Sessions. On these guided sessions we'll teach you how to paddle and manoeuvre your board or if you've done it before then we can help enhance and hone your technique. After around 45min with an instructor teaching/developing your technique, you'll have time to explore the nearby secluded beaches and caves at your leisure.
We love Stand Up Paddleboarding so much, when we're not teaching, we're out exploring on them ourselves. As well as being a British SUP Association recognised school we're all SLSGB lifeguard qualified and know our bit of coastline inside out.
Minimum age: 16 years old
Please note that the Stand Up Paddleboards are for INDIVIDUAL USE ONLY
- If you wish to share a board/your child is below the minimum age, check out our Double SUPs
All participants must be able to swim and be confident in the sea

A smile (we guarantee you’ll have one by the end, even if you don’t have one to start with!)
If you require a wetsuit, we hire them for £5pp (to be paid on the day)
Due to the nature of the environment this activity takes place in, you need to be able to swim and be water confident
Where are we?
Alternatively use the What3Words: notices.drizzly.boating
If following the postcode, continue down the road after the 'destination' to the sea front where you'll find a free public car park. If this car park is full there are more spaces in the village hall car park which is a 4min walk away. The village hall car park requires a donation for parking and is situated next to the lovely cafe, where you can get you after activity drinks and food from.
Lee Bay, situated between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe. It's our favourite spot due to the little hidden coves to explore and it is off the beaten track from the more popular beaches. Your adventure starts when you turn off the main road, so be prepared for driving down some proper Devon lanes!
We're only a short 15-25 minute drive from popular holiday destinations like Croyde and Woolacombe
We used to run activities in Croyde, around the Baggy Point headland. It can be an amazing location for extreme sports, but is very tidal and swell-dependent and due to the fact that we had to share the route with lots of other companies, we now use the picturesque route around Hele Bay, which is only a 25 minute drive from Croyde.
