Coasteering is one of the UK's fastest growing watersports. Enhance your coasteering and leadership skills through our Coasteering Guide training course.
Learn how to safely lead a group of any abilty on a coastal journey. We'll teach you how to dynamic risk assess while in one of the most challenging environments in the UK to keep yourself, your colleagues and your customers safe, all while guaging your customers abilities and the ever changing sea and weather conditions to make sure you always deliver the best session possible so that everyone goes home with a smile on their face.
We go through everything - the kit you should be taking out and show you how to make sure customers kit fits them well.
We go through all the briefings you need to deliver before and during the session and break them all down to make them easier to remember.
We'll show you techniques you can teach your customers to swim and exit the water safely if there is swell. We'll also go through where you postion yourself within the group and how to safely and effectively assist your customers should they require help.
We'll go over jumping techniques, teach you how to land safely so you can pass that on to your customers, we'll show you how to position yourself when the customers are jumping and how to give them a helping hand if they need it.
We'll talk about the roles of leads and assists, route planning, safety, markers, escape routes, tides, swell and we'll also show you what to do and how to do it if someone needs to be rescued or helped.
This course will equip you with the skills required to deliver safe and exhilirating coasteering sessions, in accordance with the National Coasteering Charter (NCC) guidelines.
In addition to coasteering skills, this course contains an Emergency First Aid Award, recognised by employers as the minimum requirement needed to be a first aider.
